The group enters Rider's Lock after coming to the realization that Dana Willowreed has followed them in secret and snuck her way into the Keep.
Continuing down through the tunnels, the group finds a large excavated area with a spot in the middle that seems like it once held some object.
A bit further down, they are attack by the animated dead. The noise of the fighting echo through the chambers and the group finds several Riders trying to fight back against the dead.
Everyone learns about a dangerous artifact that was recently uncovered that has been causing plague like symptoms and reanimation in some of the Riders. Captain Alaric Thorne warns that the artifact is dangerous and deadly to touch with bare hands.
Together, both groups work together to try and clear out the building. Captain Alaric Thorne is determined that no one leaves Rider's Lock until the dead are cleared out in order to keep the local town, Merwald Downs safe and symptoms contained.
Over the course of the time exploring the keep, the group learns that Rider's Lock is the source of the water for the local town. Tsev recalls the coughing and unexplained sickness that was spreading in town when the group was gathering supplies.
As the clearing out continues, the group finds Dana Willowreed who is holding what you all assume is the artifact. You can see the black veins spreading under her skin that resemble some of the animated dead.
The party splits up to deal with the zombies on both levels. A giant Zombie Clot attacks!
Adolfo Sensario holds the door against the clot as the rest of the party rushes to help.
After a nearly suffocating attack, the group is able to clear out both the zombies at the top and the Clot at the bottom of the keep.
As the group settles down and take a moment to breathe, they notice that Dana and Sergeant Bran Korran vanish.
Unsure which direction they may have gone in, the party decide to head back to the High City of Thraben.
Unknown to everyone else, Denei confesses that she has been infected to Feran. Feran offers the suggestion of her coming along with the party back to Thraben for a possible cure.
The party starts the trip back to High City of Thraben
