The Dursts were a wealthy family living in Durst Estate. Family members included Gustav Durst and wife Elisabeth Durst as well as their children Rose & Thorn Durst and baby Walter. They were assisted in the house by various staff including Margaret. The party discovered the estate in Barovia Basin and after an adventure into the dungeon, they found that this family held a dark secret. Underneath the house, they sacrificed innocent lives in order to, in some way, summon immortality.
The party entered the estate and were able to help free the spirits of Mr Durst, the nursemaid, Rose, Thorn, and baby Walter after battling a beast in the basement and finally putting the family to rest.
