Durst%20Mill.jpg

Atop a hill in Glades River Pass is this aging mill. The onion-domed edifice leans forward and to one side, as though trying to turn away from the stormy gray sky. The structure has gray brick walls and dirt-covered windows on the upper floors. A decrepit wooden platform encircles the windmill above a flimsy doorway leading to the building’s interior. Despite this, a soft, curling stream of smoke from a crooked pipe chimney gives the windmill a homely, comfortable appearance. Originally owned by The Dursts, this mill is now inhabited by "Granny" Morgantha and her two daughters.
