  • A large nest of Giant Spiders descended upon the group in the fallen section of Argynvost Keep. The Swarm overtook Kirin who was eventually successfully revived.
  • With the help of Unknown, a student of the great monster hunter Rudolph van Richten, the party was able to dispense of the threat. After the fight, Ezmerelda expressed interest in finding some sort of weapons or power from a great temple in the keep. She followed the group further inside the walls.
  • They then found a group of Revenants including the Paladin who fought the Dire Wolves outside the Keep with the party earlier. These knights invited the group to try and convince their leader, Sir Vladimir Horngaard, for help. The Revenant woman led the party up to the third floor and past many of the castle's dangers. What they found hunched in a throne was a shell of a former great warrior, a man defeated. Sir Vladimir stated he would no longer instruct The Order to take up arms against Strahd for fear of ending the Vampire's current "suffering". As time went on, it seems Sir Vladimir had lost the will to fight and explained that the best way to torture Strahd would be to simply allow him to exist in a hell of his own creation. The Order's perpetual undead turmoil was a small price to pay. Annoyed with the lack of answers about stored weapons or powers, Ezmerelda left.
  • The group moved on to speak with other Revenants. They met Sir Godfrey Gwilym, a great knight of The Silver Order and former lover to Vladimir. This paladin seemed to have his memory mostly in-tact, although he still could not recall the location of the so-called "Amber Temple" as he called it. He further explained the fall of The Silver Order to the party, and how The Order was slaughtered by Strahd and his minions. The battle was pushed into the walls of Argynvost Keep where even Lord Argynvost himself was slain. The hatred of The Silver Order brought many of the knights back from the dead as Revenants, cursed to roam until Strahd is dead. Sir Godfrey told the group that he felt their founder, is not at proper rest. Seeing that Wagner was a follower and ally to The Order, Sir Godfrey thought it would be important to direct the adventurers to respectfully seek out and meet Lord Argynvost himself, here in the keep. He motioned the group out the door, but it was unclear as to exactly where. Wagner then saw a silver shining light, beckoning from another room, and went to investigate.
