Vamps are how some people call them in the World After the Fall — mostly by the Aironkru. They are very similar to humans, but changed in some ways, that are similar to the old legends of vampires from the Ancients.
They usually don't like the light of day, and prefer to act at night or in low-light conditions. They also eat fresh meat, specially from humans, and other mutated humans. They are attracted by blood, and are very strong for their size, and their slim bodies.
There are some variants between them that make some of them more aggressive, or feral, as well as others that seem to still have some kind of culture or societal hierarchy.
Vamps wear mostly ragged clothes to protect their skin somehow, and are not seem wielding weapons, instead using their strong hands that have elongated fingers similar to claws. Their eyes are red and shine in the dark, this being a common sight when they are stalking and preying on travelers.
