The third son of Bunjil and Gnowee he named Bahloo. Like his mother he was beautiful and radiant, though not nearly as much. For this reason his father tasked him with watching over the land while his mother rested, thus appearing as the Moon. Because this task was fairly easy, he was also given control over time and the seasons, which he communicated to the gods and mankind through his phases. Many traditional Oceanykan calendars are lunar or lunisolar.
Bahloo is considered the patron of astronomers, writers and artists.
