The CAC CA-12 Boomerang is an Oceanykan fighter developed by the Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation, used extensively during the Oceanykan Civil War and World War II. It was introduced in the late 1930s as a response to dwindling international arms supply, itself resulting from the imminency of World War II. Although originally derived from the CAC CA-16 Wirraway's earlier iterations, both aircraft diverged significantly; the definitive mass-production version of the Boomerang, the CA-12, features an all-metal monocoque construction and a locally built Pratt & Whitney R-1830 Twin Wasp engine which allows it to reach 491 km/h under optimal conditions. It is armed with two Hispano-Suiza HS.404 autocannons and four .303 British Browning M1919 machineguns. Despite the limited engineering and manufacturing capabilities of Oceanyka before and during World War II, the Boomerang proved to be a formidable fighter, even putting up a bloody fight against the Empire of Japan's aerial forces in the north of the continent, at a time when they were considered have some of the best fighter pilots in the planet. In the mid-1960s, the Boomerang is considered obsolete as a fighter, though it can put up a fight against similar propeller aircraft or surprise a naive jet pilot with its hellish agility. Regardless, its main utility these days lies as in ground attack.

FAAC 'Em Up!
Whoever named the Oceanykan Federation's Federal Army Air Corps (FAAC) clearly knew the value of propaganda. When the Oceanykan Civil War broke out, and particularly when the Japanese invaded, the FAAC became synonymous with rudely expressed defiance. Whenever an aircraft with this rule has below 50% RES, it can reroll a single dice roll of any kind per turn.

Boomerangs Always Return
Federal Army Air Corps pilots flying the Boomerang had it rough; if they weren't evading communist ground fire while performing close air support, they were dogfighting with Japanese Zeroes over Farenday. One thing was certain: no matter how difficult the mission, and how bloody the fighting, the Boomerang will always return to base. When flying this aircraft, add an additional 2 dice rerolls to "FAAC 'Em Up!".
