The CAC CA-27 Avon Sabre is an Oceanykan jet fighter derived from the North American F-86 Sabre. It was the final mainline fighter of the Federal Army Air Corps before its reorganisation into the OPA Air Force and the subsequent shift towards Soviet hardware. The CA-27 Avon Sabre is named as such because it is powered by a Rolls-Royce Avon jet engine, which allows it to reach 1,127 km/h with greater acceleration and climb speed than its predecessor. Additionally, its armament has been upgraded to double 30mm ADEN Cannons, better suited to intercepting multi-engined aircraft and strafing ground targets. Despite its rapid replacement with newer eastern equipment, CA-27 Avon Sabres continue to fly with the Oceanykan People's Army Air Force 2nd Fighter Air Division “Red Dragons”, as well as with some Patriot Committee renegades and private airmen.

FAAC 'Em Up!
Whoever named the Oceanykan Federation's Federal Army Air Corps (FAAC) clearly knew the value of propaganda. When the Oceanykan Civil War broke out, and particularly when the Japanese invaded, the FAAC became synonymous with rudely expressed defiance. Whenever an aircraft with this rule has below 50% RES, it can reroll a single dice roll of any kind per turn.

Sabre Dance
American Sabre pilots flying over Korea became renowned for their daring against numerically and sometimes qualitatively superior forces: the fearsome MiG series, flown by Soviet "volunteers". They would push their machines to their structural limits if it meant putting an enemy jet on their gunsight, for they needed but a fraction of a second to bring it down with a swift burst. When Dogfighting, the F-86 Sabre's pilot may expend 2d20 of their aircraft's RES to gain +1 Air Superiority for a Short Duration. This ability can be repeated and stacked indefinitely.
