The Army of the Nation and Sadat (ANS) is the military force of The Caliphate of Sadati Arabia, created in 1955 from the remnants of Saudi Arabia's army by order of Anwar al-Sadat. Blending modern military doctrine with extreme religious zealotry, the ANS is known for its ruthless efficiency, widespread use of chemical weapons, and brutal counterinsurgency tactics. Equipped with reverse-engineered Western and Soviet hardware modified for desert warfare, its operational deployment combines mobile mechanized divisions with highly trained irregular units. An important Center of Gravity (CoG) of the ANS is the concept of "divine warfare" or "jihad", where martyrdom and victory are considered one and the same, making it one of the most feared and unpredictable military forces of the era. While Sadat's coastal warfare component is rather insignificant, the ANS does possess a considerable air corps, largely made up of carefully maintained pre-Caliphate imports. Their most zealous and capable members are typically recruited into the Moonlight Commandos, an organisation that most believe doesn't even exist.
