About three years ago, Mari came into town looking like a girl who had been running for weeks in the wilderness, saying she had lost her family in an attack. After a few months, she finally settled in Quillpond, and now everyone knows Mari as a friendly and bubbly server at The Singing Stag. When not at her job, she can be found puttering in her little garden, stargazing, reading for Tharvis’s bookclub or generally bugging her friend, Grummen Boneflowers.
On her 18th birthday, her Godmother came to her offering her a gift, a power to learn and grow from, and a chance to protect the innocent and become a guardian of virtue, justice and love.
