Bosaa (boh-SAH) is located near the northern end of the Koumazot Islands chain. It is the largest island in the cluster and is near completely covered in a dense jungle known as the Saatelen Meixchu (sah-tah-LEN may-HOO) that is made up, largely, of the massive seka (SAY-kah) trees. The seka are gargantuan pillars, growing 25-30 feet in diameter and hundreds of feet tall. The jungle floor is covered in semi-dense underbrush and large colonies of fungi. The fauna of the jungle floor is notably dangerous, with massive lizards, great beasts, and monstrous creatures that vie for territory throughout.
The most densely populated of the Koumazot Islands, Bosaa has been continuously inhabited for hundreds of years by a wide variety of peoples; although the islands are known for their large beastfolk population, humans, elves, dwarves, and others have settled here over time, as well. A number of sizable towns have been built up off of the jungle floor amidst the canopy; lengthy rope-and-seka bridges arc gracefully among the upper limbs of Saatalen Meixchu, connecting these settlements with regularly-patrolled routes.
Near the center of the island is an enormous, long-dormant volcano the locals call Mòn Dife (moan dee-FAY); the sloping sides of the mountain are covered in a bewildering array of vibrant plantlife whose sweet scent sweeps down into the jungle with the morning breeze.
