These aren't the inspiring, solitary eagles you find in heavily wooded highlands. They hunt in packs of three to five in the plains and steppes from Midvale to Merseprolet Basin, from north to south. Just about the only thing they can't eat is Gryphon, adn the only thing they won't eat is Flerge. Even a Kroke is no match to a surprise attack from a group of determined welkenlords. 

These birds have a typical wingspan of 12-14 feet, and weigh up to 7 stone. Their preferred method of attack for larger prey is to dive bomb as a group in rapid succession, chasing their prey to exhaustion, and then closing in all at once. The final blow usually comes from behind.
