River Gate: River gate is one of the oldest towns of the North. Originally it was built as a fort to protect the Theocracy, against attacks from the Northern barbarian tribes. It was also used as a supply line, while the King Priest Etrhiel the first, unified the north. Later it was used as the defense against the threat of the prophet, and his growing power. Now it is the last bastion of civilization before one traveles North. Once one leaves River Gate, there are few farms and small villages as one travels. These small villages, quickly vanish, as the land is over taken by the wilderness and the red plains. Beyond the red plains, are a chain of mountains. To reach the Empire one must travel over theses massive ancient faceless titans. Unless one is unlucky enough to find the ancient tunnels, built 450 years ago by the first King priest. The tunnels would shorten the trip by months, but the tunnels where destroyed some 200 years ago, by the prophet of the Sigil. How this was done is unknown, but stories tell of horrid creatures, that wander the remnants of the tunnels and that a curse rest upon the passage itself.
River gate has a population of around 6000 souls, their primary export is lumber and granite. To the east of the city is the ancient dense white oak forest. To the west the fey woods, called so for the 100-meter-tall trees that have a green bark and purple triangular leaves. Travelling North for five days brings one to the plains of blood, a massive stretch of red grasslands, that stretches as far as the eye can see. In the far distance one can see the white peaks of the Ice peaks mountains.
