During the wars of conquest for the small patches of resources available while the ash clouds from the volcanic activity choked the world and blocked the sun, Thus these wars were called the sunless wars.
Civilization was basically setback to the iron age, and few scraps of written history survived the decay.

The Sundered Sun Incursions
1728:1730The Sundered sun warband came over the Stone Rib Mountains into the grasslands around the Giant's toes raiding and plundering the countryside. In a offensive counter strike, the armies of the Arburg laid waste to the attacking forces in a string of engagements lead by a folk hero turned commander. The Sundered sun forces were pushed back over the mountain divide back to their foothold fortress of Torirn which held out for weeks against siege by the Arden military, before falling during Operation Eclipse.

Closing of the Mines of Solhalash
1690Mines of Solhalash were a profitable mineral and precious metal mine before closing when the veins ran dry. Most of the mining camp workers relocated to the Town of Carston and make up the largest of the refugee/ impoverished population in the slums.
