When most people think of lizardfolk, they think of horned lizardfolk.
Horned lizardfolk inhabit the deserts of Turalisjeth, and tend to be a sandy beige, sport small horns on the ridges of their eyebrows and cheekbones, and spines down their vertebrae.
Many customs of non-lizardfolk society (love, money, clothing) make no sense to them. However, when adopting these customs facilitates interactions with other races, they will do so (namely money and clothing). Horned lizardfolk consider their lack of emotions a boon to their race, and has helped many to become accomplished wizards, even prior to the Age of Arcana.
Conversely, one lizardfolk custom which makes no sense to non-lizardfolk is the eating of their dead. To lizardfolk, the deceased has no further use of their body, thus it is wasteful to not eat it, especially in the food-sparse regions of the desert. However, this practice is done away from the eyes of non-lizardfolk, as it negatively impacts their perception as a civilized society.
Though related to Frilled Lizardfolk by some distant ancestor, horned lizardfolk do not speak of them for concern that it would affect their image as intellects.
