Frilled Lizardfolk

Frilled lizardfolk are perhaps the exact opposite of Horned Lizardfolk. Whereas their horned cousins experience no emotions, frilled lizardfolk experience emotions so strongly they can sense other creature's emotions.

Frilled lizardfolk are slightly larger than horned lizardfolk, and can range in color from darker shades of greens and blacks to deep blues. In addition, they can sport a wide variety of colorful gills and frills.

While they tend to be nomadic, some will build elevated platform buildings over the wetlands where they will live until food supplies diminish before migrating to a different location where these buildings have been built previously.

Because of their innate emotional connection to other creatures, frilled lizardfolk believe firmly in One, the philosophy that all creature's souls are the same, and only their corporeal vessels differ. This philosophy follows into their language, routinely replacing the words "us" and "we" with "I & I" to signify this oneness.

Similar to horned lizardfolk, frilled lizardfolk also partake in the practice of eating their dead. However, theirs is not a practice of necessity, but a tradition of honor - the deceased would have wanted to bring happiness even after their death. A celebratory feast, called an Ital, is prepared of the body, and attendees drink, sing, and regale stories and happy memories of the deceased.
