Vajra Safahr is the leader of Force Grey, an elite military force dedicated to protecting the city of Waterdeep when the City Guards are not enough. She is also the current bearer of the Blackstaff, a powerful magic staff that has been passed down for generations through a line of archmages. The bearer of the Blackstaff is recognized as one of the most powerful mages in Waterdeep, as well as a protector of the city. She is the youngest mage to ever be granted the position of Blackstaff. She also lives in Blackstaff Tower, where she teaches magic to students, including Countess Orna Ordan.
Vajra is also a leader of the Moonstars, (not to be confused with the Moonstar family for which they were named) a more covert protective force which the party was invited to join after retrieving Alethene Moonstar's phylactery.
Vajra dislikes Laeral Silverhand, though they both serve Waterdeep.
Vajra is dating Cherish Heiss.
