Vallaki is a hilltop town surrounded by a wooden palisade and moat. It is the most populous settlement in the Barovia with nearly 3000 residents, nearly all human. Formerly ruled by Vargas Vallakovich, a puppet of The Reformationists, the town is fortunately now controlled by Nikolai Wachter and Karl Wachter, the sons of the late Fiona Wachter. They in turn are kept in line by the Martikov Family who own the Blue Water Inn. Many mundane goods and services are available in Vallaki, at steep prices.
