Inhabitants: Ca. 5,000 - 6,000

The Crossroads is the largest Horde town in the Northern Barrens, aptly named for the crossing of the main north-south road (from the Gold Road) and the road from Ratchet in the east all the way to the Stonetalon Mountains in the west.

Thanks to its central location, the Crossroads is a common stop along the way between many Horde outposts in Kalimdor. It is led by the hard-edged orc fighter Sergra Darkthorn, who keeps a tight watch on the place on behalf of her upper command

The place functions, just as many Horde settlements, as both a home and a military bastion. There are four roads in, all well-guarded.

Points of Interest

  • The Crossroads Inn (Inn). A centerpiece inn not far from where the Gold Road meets in the middle of the town.
  • The Bittersweet Retreat (Inn). A popular venue located only a stone's throw away from where the caravan riders bring their beasts and wagons in the western part of the town.
  • The Watering Hole (Tavern). A small pub squeezed in between a few of The Crossroad's more permanent structures, along the southern road through town. It is operated by a trio of goblins, and as a reputation for both its irregular gambling get-togethers and a lax attitude toward experimental drink-making.
  • Helbrim's Tonics. An alchemy tent-shop set up along the main west-to-east road through The Crossroads. It is owned and operated by the duo of Forsaken alchemists known as Apothecaries Helbrim and Sashya
  • Zargh's Meat-shop. A well-reputed butcher situated just off to the north-east of the Crossroads centre.
  • Hraq-n'-Nargal. A similarly well-reputed forge and smithy that is kept and run by the orc duo Hraq and Nargal.
