The Shadewind Spire sits along the western bank of a deep, verdant valley in the Stonetalon Mountains.
In ages past, the spire was known as Elor'theras -- a name that can still be found in engravings on the walls, and in old documents hidden away in the spire's libraries. The original purpose of the spire is unknown to agents of the Horde, though what traces there are suggest that it was built by the Highborne before the Sundering. It may have acted as a watchpost, or a garrison, or perhaps the quarters of a small order of Highborne mages.
It is likely that, back then, Elor'theras had close ties to the city of Eldre'thar.
Recently, the Shadewind Spire has been home to a group known as the Shadewind Order; a self-described adventuring guild whose true purpose was as a recruiting front for the Twilight's Hammer cult.
