Radahn tells the story of his past in the inn
Radahn and his older brother Arthindol grew together in the city of Old Phandalin during its glory days back in 780.
Arthindol was hired by Aldith Tresendar to construct an outpost to the east of the city, he called it Owl Well.

An Orc tribe attacked the city in 796, when Radahn was a teenager, Arthindol took him and the two ran to Owl Well, Arthindol told Radahn he has to hide, and no matter what he hears, he must never get out.
He lowered Radahn down the well. Radahn saw the sky turn red while blue magical runes started filling the well's walls. He couldn't understand the meaning of the runes for they were written in infernal.
Radahn heard the voice of a demon talking to his brother offering him a bargain. Their lives in return for eternal servitude. Arthindol took the deal, the demon made Arthindol into a Lich.
Radahn heard his brother's screams as he was turning, but didn't see anything. A few moment later a fight started, Radahn heard the cries of Orcs rushing towards the well, the fighting took only a few seconds, when suddenly there was quite.
Arthindol as a dead Lich came down the well and told Radahn in order to keep him safe he'll have to stay away from him. He touched his forearm and it glew bright blue, marking him permanently. Radahn fell asleep and woke up in Niphil in the year 1295.

Radahn grew up in Niphil as an orphan.
After dedicating his life studying the ways of the wizard to have the opportunity to cast the Wish spell and remove his brother's curse he heard word of a powerful wizard causing trouble around Meadheavan. Radahn decides to pack up his books and travel to Meadheavan to seek an adventure and perhaps find his brother and free him from his curse.
