Of these, the oldest, richest and most powerful of the Merchant Houses of Haven is House Rojas. Rojas specializes in trade with the east , Valoria and Mithras, and also in inter island trade .
The house is extremely tightly organized and essentially under the thumb of its current patriarch, Manuel De Rojas, generally considered the most powerful man in the Republic. However De Rojas is very old and has no clear heir so the long term future of his house is a bit uncertain.
