The astra are a fabled set of weapons wielded by both the Numina and the progenitors prior to the Numen Cataclysm. Legends tell of these weapons exuding so much energy that mere mortals would be disintegrated from exposure. Most notably, the Malumastra was supposedly used to rupture the Prime Material Plane and indirectly caused the creation of the Caelum Galaxy.
Despite several centuries of attempts, the Consortium of Ancestral Preservation has yet to ascertain whether the astra are real, or where they might be located.
