Realizing the need of distancing and plausible deniability, Brixom Malpa hired Frink Vaultbreaker, who hired the rest of his crew, consisting of Gimlen, Viktor "Vitya" Kindratovich, Maloc and Arzor Whistlecoin.
After some preparation, the heist crew performed a first scouting run, during which Maloc, going by the name 'Lockheart', opened an account in The Bastion.
The second scouting run got out of hand quickly, when Gimlen found herself in Umbrun's office and promptly got killed. In response, Viktor "Vitya" Kindratovich killed the Dwarven teller giving the crew a tour of the Upper Vaults.
Unexpected help was offered from Boltu, an agent for the Granite Lord. With their help, the crew gained access to the Deep Vaults, and retrieved The Note in the Vault.
On their way out, the party was confronted by Umbrun Orimnar and his entire security force. In the fight that ensued, Boltu was slain and the 3 heisters (along with Argug) were teleported to the Elemental Plane of Fire by Vallia Wiseflare, where Argug was slain by Maloc.
Spending a few hours in a hideout on the Plane of Fire, Vallia appeared again, with a job offer. Maloc negotiated his way out of it and was returned to Heaton (albeit 160 hours after he left, local time), and Arzor Whistlecoin and Viktor "Vitya" Kindratovich found themselves now employed by the strange sorceress.
