Deep in the Heaton Sewers, Silvayn and Maloc have gained an audience with the Granite Lord, who turns out to be Glonora, who The Raven Shield met previously.
Negotiating for their freedom, Maloc seeks to strike a deal, which Silvayn finds hard to imagine. After hinting towards her true objective - Umbrun Orimnar - the Granite Lord lets the two go on their way, warning them to not cross paths with her again.
In the morning, Maloc and Silvayn return to The Hog's Head, where Silaqui has learned about a method of temporary sight from Henry Jamund.
A tense discussion about the meeting with the Granite Lord erupts, only for the group to be interrupted by Gasha Ugdug. A new adventurer by the name of Luciano Vanitoso requires the aid of the party, and after a brief negotiation, the group is on their way.
Merrick Morichar, the Butcher of the Middle Sea, had previously robbed a ship that Luciano was stationed on, and had taken a captive carrying valuable information. Now, the pirate is hiding out in the Harbor District, occupying a run-down bar known as the Half-Cask Tavern.
In the fierce fight that follows, the pirate crew is defeated by the party, but Morichar manages to slip away.
