Azarketi

The Azarketi are a proud and ancient race of aquatic humanoids who dwell in deep oceans and coastal regions. Their bodies are adapted to life underwater, with gills that allow them to breathe water as well as air. They have webbed fingers and toes, and their skin is covered in scales that provide protection against the rigors of the ocean.

Ability Boosts: Your Constitution score increases by 2, and your Wisdom score increases by 2.

Ability Flaw: Your Charisma score decreases by 2.

Size: Azarketi are Medium creatures and thus have no bonuses or penalties due to their size.

Speed: Your base swimming speed is 25 feet. You can also walk on land at a speed of 5 feet.

Aquatic: You can breathe underwater indefinitely and can move underwater with ease. You can also move and breathe normally on land.

Low-Light Vision: You can see in dim light as though it were bright light, and you ignore the concealed condition due to dim light.

Senses: You have the scent ability, allowing you to detect creatures by their scent within 30 feet, even underwater.

Languages: You can speak, read, and write Azarketi and Common. Azarketi is a language of clicks and whistles that is difficult for non-Azarketi to learn.

Heritage Feats: You gain access to the following heritage feats:

  • Amphibious Familiarity: You have spent your entire life in and around the water, and you are intimately familiar with its secrets. You gain a +2 circumstance bonus to Survival checks to navigate, track, or find food while in aquatic environments.
  • Riptide Strike: Your natural swimming ability allows you to strike with incredible force. Once per turn when you Strike with a melee weapon or unarmed attack while underwater, you can push your target 5 feet in any direction. This feat has the aquatic trait.
