Creatures
of Yavarra started to discover magics and use it in their lives, with
the help of the gods and goddesses. Glad with their creations' curiosity
and ability, deities helped them to master magics. This resulted in a
spring of civilizations. This period is knows as "Age of the Divine
Prosperity".
With time, scholars made a discovery that changed the life on Yavarra. Magic is not a solemnly gods' power - it exists in the world by itself and can be controlled without a divine intervention. After the discovery, people started to learn and master arcana. They have built new cities - including beautiful flying ones, new academies and libraries, schools and guilds. The world was a better place at that time, and this period was known as "Age of Arcanum".
In the midst of the excitement with possibilities and new magic, clergy and mages started to argue about the viability and effectiveness of two types of magic - Divine and Arcana. Two great periods in the history of Yavarra collided in the greatest war the planet has ever had.
Watching
the destruction The War of Magics brought upon the realm, people
started to see reason. Mages and kingdoms signed a Treaty that
established the end of The War, rights and obligations of mages and clergy, and the place of the things in the world.
Some say, that is the Treaty would not be signed, the world would have ended and there would have been no 'tomorrow'. Maybe is an alternate universe, this would be a very different, apocalyptic world... We can only thank our predecessors for the ability to deal with The War that would otherwise destroy us.
