18 Deftera, Coming of the Eleventh Prophet

Named Years
The years in which the Prophet's Comet comes have special names.  Year 0 is referred to as the Coming of the First Prophet. Year 73 is referred to as the Coming of the Second Prophet, and so on.  The current year is 730, which is the Coming of the Eleventh Prophet.

Months
The names of the twelve months of the year were taken from the greek words for first, second, third, etc.

Days of the Week
Conarism has six Transgressions, and the days of the week are named for the opposite of those things: truth, loyalty, generosity, justice, diligence, and prudence. Prueday is regarded as a day of rest and moderation. 

Numbers
There are six days in a week, five weeks in a month, two months in a season, and twelve months in a year, which means the year is 360 days. 

Moons
There are two moons: Synigora and Katergis.  Synigora appears in the sky as a very light pink color and is associated with the Advocate.  Katergis is a very light blue color and is associated with the Trickster.  There are beliefs and superstitions about what it means when they are in their various phases.

Seasons

Seasons
  1. Vernale - Spring. The first day of the year is the vernale equinox.
  2. Sumere - Things have turned green and it's getting warmer, though there is still plenty of rain.  The Long Day comes when Sumere is halfway over. 
  3. Serotine - This season is hot and dry. The equinox is the last day of Serotine. 
  4. Autome - The heat drops off almost suddenly, and the leaves begin to shrivel. 
  5. Hiberne - Before written calendars, the first day of Hiberne was declared on the morning of the first frost. Cold and snowy. The Long Night comes when Hiberne is halfway over. 
  6. Brumale - The snow subsides and the temperature begins to occasionally come above freezing, so now everything is just slush and mud.
