at the inn, Skjorn approaches Zaz and asks for his progress on Jorlan's prosthetic

Zaz is confused when Skjorn addresses him as "blue jolly rancher boy" and they get sidetracked with a little family history
apparently, Skjorn's family are nobles because an ancestor of his invented the jolly rancher candy

Zaz gives Skjorn the finished prosthetic and they discuss their magic classes (artificer and wizard respectively)

Skjorn shows off a warlock spell he shouldn't have access to and nearly hits a pair of gnomes; one is annoyed but the other is fascinated by the display
- the impressed gnome says, "Fancy robes, you a wizard or something?"

Skjorn tries to overpay Zaz for his work but the latter turns it down, saying he should learn the proper value of money and how to save

Zaz points out that Skjorn has a "new family" to take care of and he may not have access to his parents' wealth upon returning to the Surface

Skjorn approaches Jorlan and asks for his hand

he surprises Jorlan with the prosthetic, fitting it on perfectly
- Jorlan admires it and tests it out, feeling satisfied with its grip
Jorlan mentions wanting to train with it soon, and Skjorn suggests multiple fighters in the group who can help
- Jorlan considers Ront (decides he'd be too impatient) and Sarith (feels hesitant because they're not on good terms)
Skjorn reassures him that he and Sarith can become friends; after all, Skjorn never gives up trying to get people to like him, and he's still hoping for a threesome with Sarith
