Anim-nova currently has Stage 6 of Unknown
Anim is an Ifrit/gnome hybrid hailing from the fire plane. Like many Ifrits, Anim is prideful, impulsive and an avid pyromaniac, ultimately a slave to his own biology. Born beyond the borders of Valkana, Anim fled the fire plane with his full-blood brother Ignus out of fear of their elder half-brother Aurus, a purist Ifrit fanatic hellbent on destroying them both. Upon arriving in Valkana in the slaving districts of Keksis, Ignus abandoned Anim, leaving him in slavery for 47 years.
During his time as a slave, Anim became well acquainted with elf, tiefling and orc slaves, learning the ogre language as well as sign and Valkana basic. To ogres in Keksis, Anim is considered one of them after befriending their leader Magus. A human slave, Oleander became Anim's love interest whilst in Keksis, she and Magus helped Anim escape Keksis after his first attempt to get free - during which he massacred a village of 103, resisted arrest and combatted a witch who defeated him and cursed him with no face, rendering his demon breath inert. After this, Anim was returned to the slavers district, where he and the ogres staged a district-wide riot allowing hundreds of slaves to escape, Anim believes Magus was killed during this riot and Oleander stayed behind to help other slaves escape. Anim vowed to eventually return and free her and the others. To this day, Anim is still owned by a dwarf slaver in Keksis.
Most recently, Anim has been travelling with a group of mercenaries (his words) in an attempt to better understand others - having been wandering the wastes of Vorakis and Nestora alone for six years. Additionally, Anim genuinely wishes to be a better person but is a slave to his biology. He may never be a “good” person but he hopes he will be better. He has a companion named Temperance (small robotic teddy bear that silently stares), a bittersweet reminder of Runcible (a less likeable "friend").
