having 5 siblings.....and being extrodinarily smaller then others, Keenan, Jenell, Deelon, Randall, Luca, and Rachel(real name unknown or remembered even by Ratchet)

family needed some assist and when a roll call for paid volunteers the 3 brothers stepped up, little did they know Rachel also stepped up

it was a paid treatment for implants some small body modification to see how after the operation they could use/re intergrate into society

maybe due to her tiny size the implant did not work out very well...and they had to improvise and continue more to support failing life on Rachel.

After many months, awakened finally, was nothing like anyone had achieved/been through before....at least half of Rachel's body including some internal organs etc have been "replaced"

unable to accept what had happened solitude and depression made her create and adopt a new name fearing her family wouldn't not approve or accept her, Ratchet close enough for her to hold onto her past Bunny side of genetics.

Ratchet found some right crowds and wrong crowds to hang with, during this time it was how she learnt big guns excited her and using them made her feel envigorated.

a hacking crimewave put a end to her free reign and some of her "enhancements shut down", she managed to worm her slowly draining life back to the place that created whatever Ratchet was. 

to fix the damage that had been done. they needed to do some reprogramming and replacements also due to the failure of initial implant, they had to tweak Ratchet even more, potentially even more machine then Bunny.

awoken again, and only refered to as DFAE. with a missing want to fix herself and others, she adopted information on how/what was implanted and changed from her original bunny genetic composition.

although on the outside she 90% looked like a bunny now, it felt like 90% inside was more metal and gears and nanites etc then blood and muscle...even though when cut bleed like a Bunny.

after reuniting with old friend Phe's toon and being told her name was Ratchet not this DFAE. 

this is where whilst helping Phe's toon with revenge they look for more help owens toon to exact revenge on the ones who messed with Phe's enhancements(i know they are implants but even though i too am enhanced...mine were aquired through volunteer)
