As the adventured unfolded it was discovered that Robin had been keeping no small amount of secrets about her past from the group since her joining. The first of these was revealed when she admitted that she had been experimented on by Velannah and The Iron Elementalist the same as Lukas, though as far as she knew, she had been the first. The second was that her true identity was none other than the illegitimate half-sister of Prince Nathaniel Thorne, raised alongside him to be his right hand and bodyguard up until she was taken away by Velannah some years ago.
Robin was born within one of Verden's elementalist enclaves and, until quite recently, has never known a life outside. Recognized from an incredibly young age for the potential deadliness of her affinity, she was conscripted into the Verdannen military quite young, a practice that was far from uncommon in the days before the rebellion. When the rebellion boke out, she was unlucky enough to have been away from her typical post of the capitol where perhaps she could have been freed from the monarchy's control, and thus she has remained fighting for the monarchist cause for the past three years.
Her time with the military has left her a skilled and deadly combatant, especially suited for covert operations which made her a natural choice be sent to The Hub, on the mission to assassinate the rebellion ambassador, Kithri Malrose. Now that she has been freed however, she's eager to turn her skills against those who kept her captive, her soft and somewhat naïve demeanor hiding a deep thirst for revenge for the pain that she has suffered at the monarchy's hands.
