Ky'ito

Last and loathed son of The First Demon, Ky'ito has spent much of the long years of his early life fighting tooth and nail for a place amongst the elite of Hellas alongside his more favored siblings. As one of the rarities of his kind to be born with a human form, Ky'ito initially held much promise in the eyes of his 'doting' parents though they were quickly disappointed when he grew to display little of the raw power and bloodlust that are the hallmarks of The First Demon's line. His siblings saw him as little more than a potential meal, and his father, a reject, but what he lacked in base strength he more than made up for in intellect, cunning, and an astonishing adeptness for magic.

Though he was cast out of his father's court as a child, he managed to survive, disappearing from his family's eyes and thoughts for nearly a century before his dramatic return. When he resurfaced, it was standing atop the corpse of his mother, a powerful demon once known as Unknown, and her court after having successfully staged a coup within her Domain, thus claiming it as his own and reestablishing his place within The First Demon's court. Though this betrayal had proved his ferocity in his father's eyes, Ky'ito was still far from in his good graces, and he sought ever to prove himself worthy of a place as Heir to the demonic throne. It was out of this desire to prove himself that Ky'ito turned to Ruaan, and to the long and fruitless war that was being waged there, all for the purpose of retrieving The First Demon's stolen blade. It was a simple matter for him to arrange the removal of his sibling who was acting as general and take his place, vowing to finally deliver the Realm to his father once and for all.

As the war in Ruaan raged on, Ky'ito vanished into the realm for a time, surfacing some time later within the Prophet Ryuki Rosenthal's inner circle, having passed himself off as a powerful magician come to aid the last bastion of humanity in their war against the Demons. Over time, he worked his way from simply a useful ally to becoming one of Lady Rosenthal's closest friends and confidants, and there were often politely whispered rumors amongst the people of the Temple that their relationship was something more, though the truth would never fully be known. Even as he played the friend however, he worked constantly behind the scenes to subtly undermine the Ruaanni, weakening them all while preparing to open a gate to Hellas within the capitol itself.

it was only through the great sacrifice of Lady Rosenthal that his plan ultimately failed, though not before his betrayal was revealed to all and the demonic forces had ravaged The Temple and beyond. As the battle raged around them, Ky'ito and Ryuki fought tirelessly atop the Temple's spire, trading blow after blow, locked in equal combat. Then, when all seemed lost to those desperately fighting below a blinding light began to emanate from the temple's spire. When the light faded, the people found that the demons had vanished, seemingly tunred to dust by the power, and that the land around them had changed as if somehow centuries had passed in the blink of an eye. When the survivors came searching for their Prophet they found no trace of her or of Ky'ito. All that was left behind were bloodstains and their weapons, her's a golden scythe and his a slue-steel sword, thrust into the stone of the spire; both of which were left behind as a kind of memorial to the Ruaani's fallen Prophet.

Though they both have long since been accepted by most to have died that day, there are some who insist that Ky'ito at least is still alive, claiming that the disappearances of both blades some 30 years ago could only have been brought about by his hand.
