Upon their touch however, the pair were suddenly struck with a violent pain, followed by an intense vision of a dark and misty wood, flocked with an impossible cloud of ravens. After a moment the birds vanished leaving behind a young man, alabaster skinned and raven haired. The man reached for Sylf and as if from a great distance called to him saying, "...one of us. You could be... Please we need you! Our lost children must return home." and when Sylf asked him his name all that fell from his lips were the calls of ravens.
Then, the pair awoke, shaken, but otherwise unharmed. As shocking as their shared vision was, there seemed little to be done about it in the moment and the matter of Valnoth still pressed. And so, they agreed to continue on as had been planned though not before Viridian warned Sylf to be careful should he encounter that man again, a dark shadow seemingly clouding his mind.
