The Furies

The Furies, Alekto (endless), Megaera (rage), Tisiphone (destruction)
Power

Description: The Furies are the embodiment of pain, vengeance, and retribution.  They are the punishers of the Imperial Temple, and the enforcers of Fate.  The Furies normally resemble three winged females, ranging from stern and cruel warriors with feathered wings, to horrific bat winged fiends of destruction, depending either on their whim, or the aspect that best suits their mission.  They have various names, but the most common are; Alekto (endless, eternal, unyielding), Megaera (rage, anger, pain), and Tisiphone (destruction, vengeance).

The Furies punish oath breakers, and those who would cheat fate.  They also deliver vengeance for those who desire revenge, or deliver divine retribution to those who bear the anger of the Imperial Temple.  They have also been known to deliver justice, albeit in a heavy handed way.  In some cases those who have cried out for their aid have become appalled and remorseful at the depths of the retribution and devastation, but the Furies once tasked, deliver their punishment as they see fit.

Tenets of the Faith:

• Suffer not an oath breaker to go unpunished, nor those who would cheat Fate, as this leaves the Scales of Justice unbalanced.
• Seek out or answer those who call for retribution and justice yet are unable to deliver it themselves, and deliver it for them.
• Pain is a tool to gauge your strength, and to learn from your mistakes, even those who suffer our judgement may learn, should they survive their punishment and not be killed by it.
