Valorian's Urbrand is a +1 shortsword with the Finesse and Light traits. When making an attack with a Finesse weapon, use your choice of your Strength or Dexterity modifier for the attack and damage rolls.
The Urbrand is an intelligent weapon the prefers to communicate via Empathy (once attuned). It has a lawful nature, and can be focused upon a goal or cause championed by its wielder. One of the effects of it having a goal is that weapon causes extra damage of a type that its foes are vulnerable to. If its foes are not vulnerable to a specific type of damage, then the damage is typed as force damage.
For many years, Valorian's corpse lay in a tomb partly in the fae realm, along with the Urbrand. Valorian had a long and heroic career fighting against evil undead, but succumbed to massive injuries and exhaustion during his defeat of an evil wraith lord.
Awakened to heroic purpose again by a young monk named Aizen, the urbrand has been re-dedicated to fight enemies of the mortal realm, namely the shadowy villains of the V'eyl Empire.
