Ral Partha is an ancient city whose origins are lost to time. Before the rise of the Wensharian empire, Ral Partha was a bastion of learning and civilization. It is certainly the only known city to have escaped the Wensharian Civil war and the Dark Ages unscathed (mostly).
This is most likely due to its location on the far western side of the Wensharian Empire.
Although Ral Partha managed to survive through the ages, it is much diminished in size and influence from its previous glory days before the Wensharian civil war.
The title of "Ral" for a large bastion city is the same nomenclature used by the Anguis Imperium for its large population centers, however the reason for this is unknown.
