Ogres to a nearly universal extent are vile, cruel, and obsessed creatures. The combination of easily provoked rage and great strength make them ill-tempered and vicious foes. This creates a common assumption among other species that ogres are dull and dimwitted creatures, notorious for their stupidity. As a whole this may be true to an extent, but individual ogres are no dumber than humans, while some exceptional individuals show an ominous intelligence and cunning. (See DM Note)
