Buu's Death

After escaping the town watch of GlimmersHaven, Buumade his way to a vantage point beneath the falls to await the rest of the party.

As the night darkens a stubborn chill begins to set in a cloth-wrapped, monkish figure steps into the fire light and makes idle conversation.
Offering to heal him of his affliction and cleanse his troubled conscious, the figure leads him to the waters' edge and guides him into a pose of supplication. Buu saw the knife a moment before the blow landed and dodged a killing blow. Rising to his feet, he saw five more of the wrapped figures emerge from the underbrush. A skirmish ensues and the robed figures are revealed to be Draconians. The remaining party members arrive in time to witness a fierce battle from the other side of the river. Buu fought valiantly but was eventually slain by the Sivak draconian and his body tossed into the icy depths of the river. 

In the form of a water elemental,  Digby retrieved Buu's body and after escaping to Esterhalt, Kiri Lockhart unsuccessfully attempts a resurrection.

In life, his purity of intent cleansed the Heart of the Oasis, but now it's crystalline form has blackened, thick, viscous icor oozing forth at an alarmingly steady pace...
