Camp Two is the most recent settlement area and almost entirely consists of temporary lodgings. It is a bustling, chaotic mix of tents, makeshift shelters, and hastily constructed cabins, a temporary residence for the increasing influx of settlers over the past few seasons. Narrow dirt paths wind through the camp, often muddy or dusty depending on the weather. Makeshift lanterns or torches light the way at night. Small storage sheds or lean-tos are scattered around where settlers keep their key belongings and supplies.
The camp is a melting pot of people from various backgrounds, all seeking to carve out a new life in Fairstead. While the temporary nature of the lodgings reflects their recent arrival, there’s a tangible mix of hope, determination, support underneath the tension of the new arrivals.
Structures:
Residential Tents: The majority of residents live in large, colourful tents arranged in somewhat orderly rows. These tents vary in size and quality, some being simple canvas shelters while others are more elaborate, with sections for families.
Makeshift Cabins: A few of the settlers have started constructing basic wooden cabins using available resources. These cabins are rudimentary, often built with the help of neighbours or earlier settlers. They tend to belong to families, groups or to those that had the means to hire others.
Communal Facilities: Large tents serve as communal areas for cooking, eating, and socializing. These are central hubs where residents gather to share news and support each other.
Temporary Market: A section of the camp is dedicated to a temporary market where new traders set up stalls to sell goods and services.
