Ser Kaelen Virell was born into a minor noble line within the Rivensend region. A second son with no claim to his family’s dwindling lands, he swore his life to House Tur’Meric and was inducted as a Sworn Man at age 24 under the tutelage of a young Captain Krunmonger, whom he greatly admired. He was known for his methodical, calm demeanor and exceptional memory. He had a particular fascination with architectural oddities, believing that the overlooked curiosities often concealed forgotten wisdom from the past.
He vanished 62 years ago during a period of unrest in the southern reaches of the Speserij. Official records note he was last seen departing Sandhaven, bound for the southern territories after receiving word of odd tremors and disturbances in a series of old, overgrown ruins. His disappearance was filed as “Presumed Lost or Killed in Action.”
Eryndor Vell discovered his body while himself trapped in the catacombs and took the agents belt and knife, engraved with his initials and a curling, vine-like pattern. The knife was later recovered by the party after tracking down the escaped Eryndor and dispatching him.
