Mayor Alric Eldrin has a vision of Fairstead as a thriving hub of trade and culture.
Born and raised in Fairstead, he left for several years to study administration and governance in larger cities. Upon his return, he was elected mayor and considers himself instrumental in guiding the town through its rapid growth. He aims to balance the needs of all citizens, ensuring that Fairstead grows sustainably while integrating the new arrivals into the community. Unfortunately, Alric is a mediocre leader at best and most of the towns more influential members are completely baffled by how he managed to get elected in the first place.
A well-groomed man in his early 40s, Alric is always dressed in a finely tailored tunic that feels too extravagant for a small-town mayor. With sharp features, a broad smile, and carefully styled hair, he gives off the air of a charismatic leader (at least at first glance).
Driven by ego and self-promotion, Alric thrives on appearances and grand ideas but rarely follows through. He prefers making small, intimate speeches and planning flashy private events over governing, often delegating real responsibilities to others. Though overconfident and inept, he maintains influence through charm and showmanship, fooling just enough people to stay in power—while those around him quietly do the real work.
