Unsurprisingly, members of this cult possess a varied array of enchanted gear that is, for the most part, specifically attuned to the individual who wears it. While membership does have it's benefits, low ranking members are outfitted only with the items they bring with them, meaning lowborn peasants and workers who leave their respective homes to join the cult often find themselves with a relatively low survival chance. This means that adventurers and those who served noble houses tend to have the easiest time performing tasks for the Order.
Each member is awarded a standard set of gear upon their initiation.
- Whatever their weapon of choice, it's imbued with the Obsidian Blessing, a pact-enchantment that causes the user's weapon to take on a sharp obsidian blade cracked with heat, awarding a clean cut that sears the flesh of any who it contacts.
- Enchanted light armour that allows for fast movement and manoeuvrability when wiggling into, and out of, tight spaces and ruins. While not all members wear this armour, it is uniquely suited to delving into tight spaces and caves as it emits it's own orange light when it becomes dark as if the Light spell was permanently cast upon it.
- Each member is issued a single Gate Lens, these powerful orbs are rare magical items that allow the user a single cast of the Gate spell, but it's only attuned to Perilor's current base of operations, the Obsidian Keep. While this location has moved from time to time, these Gate Lenses remain attuned to wherever the keep is currently at and are used as either an emergency escape tool or a way for a member to quickly and easily return magical artifacts that would otherwise be too heavy for a long trip. Once the Gate Lens is used, it shatters completely down the middle and becomes worthless.
- Members are also given a kit of tools to use while delving into ruins and other dangerous places.
