Lavir Madel (Mentor)

Jedi Knight

“You are more than what you have suffered”

Background

Lavir Madel has seen much in her life. She was a Jedi Knight when Order 66 came into fruition, however circumstances had taken her away from the temple and instead on a solo mission on the planet of Jakku. She only learned the truth when her dear Master sent her a message warning her about the attack and to not return to the Temple and to go into hiding on the desert planet until he could reach her. Looking back on it, Lavir believes that perhaps these were her Masters last moments before he was lost forever, risking it all to send his student the message that would save her life.

So Lavir did what her Master had requested. She stripped her ship of its useful resources and abandoned it, fleeing deeper into the desert and out of sight. For many years she struggled greatly with this new way of life, finding barely enough food to keep going and being so stricken with grief of what had happened and fear in not knowing what would happen next to her. It was during this time that things grew bleak for Lavir and it seemed like it might be her end, but instead it was her salvation. Having survived her rock bottom, she found herself able to begin to rebuild. She was able to let go of some of the hurt, find acceptance and begin again.

The years went by and Lavir adapted to her new life as a hermit, using her training to guide her to places of safety and to hunt better meals. She traded with wandering merchants and began to build herself a small home in one of the nearby caves. The solitude gave her peace and she found her connection to the Force growing, she found peace within and even hope for the future. Eventually that hope turned out to be a prophecy of the future, witnessing the end of the Emperor and the rebirth of the Jedi within her dreams. On the day of waking from such a vision, Lavir finally stopped hiding and sought out the Jedi he’d seen. It was time to begin again.

Lavir has since joined the New Order, sharing her wisdom of the Order before but also what she has learnt in her time of connecting with the Force in isolation for so many years. But despite her wanting to help, Lavir knew she was not meant for the front lines anymore. She was now in her veteran years, her life perhaps extended a little with her deep meditations and connection to the Force in her isolation. So instead she wished to serve in a different way, becoming a Jedi who also serves as the Service Corps Director. A role that not only helps her build a community, but be surrounded by it as well. Something she sorely missed after so much time alone. Still, Lavir knows she is a Jedi at heart and if she is ever needed for other duties - she will always be there for those who need her most.

Appearence

Lavir is thin, female Dorus standing at just a little 5’8 feet. She has greyish blue skin, sunset coloured eyes and has a modest dignity about her as she moves. Her typical attire is a mixture of white and beige robes with long necked, green clothing underneath.

Personality

Lavir is known for being calm, composed and patient with a kind wisdom to her that she offers to those who will listen. She has outlasted the Emperor, so she knows she can patiently outlast you. This serves her well in moments of crisis, able to both lead and listen even in the most dire situations without letting fear get the best of her. She also has a fondness for youth, looking to see the best in the future generations.

Skillset & Role

Lavir being the Service Corps Director means she will be directly tied to situations that they’re involved in, as well as other matters on Dantooine. However she also serves as an excellent source of knowledge of the previous Jedi Order and of dreams or visions related to the Force.
