Far Reaches

May 10, 2025
  • Session GM: Jackh1
  • Session Date: 10/05/2025
Session Summary
  • Knight Farahl gathered the party after having gotten a vision, a feeling that he was needed somewhere else in the galaxy.
  • After gathering up everyone and loading them up into a AD-2 Peacekeeper, he and the group began trying to feel where to go in the Force.
  • With some difficulty, they were able to locate their goal somewhere on the border of Hutt Space and Anaxes, and so they set off, first stopping at Nal Hutta, before feeling where to go from there.
  • A somewhat fudged Astrogational calculation led them to nearly crash with the Eclipse Legion space station Heskar after emerging from hyperspace right next to it
  • After a rather tense standoff with traffic control of the station, they were able to move on to their actual destination, Oosalon.
  • Once landed, they found an incredibly thick fog covering everything, making sight nearly impossible.
  • After navigating through the terrain, the party found the source of the signal, a Eclipse Legion expedition that had uncovered a Jedi holocron.
  • Whilst the party were in talks with the Camp Overseer, they came under attack by a Anaxes mortar strike, followed by a full on assault.
  • Through the fighting most of the camp perished, although the holocron was recovered.
After fighting off the Domain, the party dropped off Knight Farahl and the Eclipse survivors at Heskar, before returning to Dantooine.

Narrative Selection

Most would find his job torture, but not Jak Kortuna.

As Traffic Control Officer of Heskar, he was in the position to monitor all traffic going to and from the station. Seeing that they were in the middle of nowhere, and all Eclipse Legion movements were scheduled far in advance, most of his job involved doing a whole lot of fuck-all, which suited him just fine.

In the hours, or even days that would pass without much work needing to be done, he could catch up on his shows, read the latest holonovels and he had even taken up painting, all whilst getting paid for the privilege.

This day had started off just wonderfully empty, but his watching of Real Housewives of Naboo was rudely interrupted by a computer notification that a ship was emerging from hyperspace.
A fraction of a second afterwards, the computer systems began shouting out proximity warnings, as whatever madman was emerging from hyperspace was doing it right next to the station, so close he could even see it with his own eyes.

Barely having time for his life flash before his eyes, death was averted by the ship narrowly avoiding the station, zooming past it with mere metres between them.
Thoughts of someone using the ship as a missile or weapon against the station was replaced with the realization that this was apparently not on purpose, and so he ordered the computer systems to engage the tractor beams, and started hailing the ship.
His day was now ruined, and he would see what he could do to return the favour against whomever was piloting that vessel.
