This section will cover any major updates to the character's story as the campaign unfolds.
- Please provide a brief (at least one short paragraph) backstory for your character.
Born the son of an Alliance to Restore the Republic Medic (mother) and an Alliance aligned Smuggler (father) on the planet of Mon Cala, Noske was raised primarily by the former, as his father was usually off making money and gathering supplies for the Alliance. From an early age, Noske was amazed by the profession of his mother, with its ability to help and care for others. Lucky for him, medical personnel were always in high demand so there was no pushback from anyone in regard to him learning the trade. Noske proved to be excellent at the field of medicine, and with a never-ending interest in knowledge, it was thought that he would go far. But no one could have ever guessed quite how far, because unbeknownst to all (even Noske), he had an unseen ally; The Force. Due to the nature of his Force Sensitivity, Noske has recently been taken in by Master Skywalker's New Jedi Order, to train in the ways of the Force. And only the Force knows what is in store next, for Noske. - Why does your character want to be a jedi? Noske sees becoming a Jedi as a way to help the many people in the
Galaxy that he could have never reached in his old, expected life.
- Are
there aspects of your character’s background (people, events, places)
that were more formative to your character’s current personal
development? Noske's mother being the person who first noticed and fed his love for
helping people and medicine, was the most formative person.
- Describe the kinds of personal relationships you might have had in your past? Noske was rather shy, so he didn't have many friends, perhaps one or two
close ones that he was sad to leave behind on Mon Cala when the Jedi
Order offered him a place. Other than that, definitely his mother.
- What is most Jedi-like about your character? What is least Jedi-like about your character? His desire to help people and learn. His general shyness and awkwardness
doesn't exactly make for the greatest diplomat or leader, which might
be expected of a Jedi.
- Does your character have a strong idea of the Force? Do they experience it in a certain way or is it a mystery to them? Only the very basic notion of the Force.
- Some
characters have dark (or great) secrets that they keep locked away from
even their dearest friends. Does your character harbor a great regret
or a secret aspiration that is central to their character? Nope
- What elements of your character are you most excited to explore, whether narrative or mechanical? Narratively, the outgrowing of his shy nature. Mechanically, I love playing healers so definitely growing that in his skillset.
- Does your character have a long-term plan, mechanically? Healer, specalization wise.
- The
Dark Side tempts each Jedi differently. How does it prey upon your
character's emotional weakness and what makes them susceptible to it? I'm not entirely sure, but most likely some self-doubt or misunderstanding other people's opinions of him?
- Would you rather start your character as an Initiate or as a Padawan? Initiate, as he was only recently picked up (His first passive RP might even be him getting a tour of the Temple, who knows!)
