AL-3KS is a heavily modified training droid from the time of the Galactic Republic. The companion of Terek Yulon, a Jedi Knight who managed to escape the Great Jedi Purge, AL-3KS was programmed with an expansive knowledge of lightsaber techniques for the purpose of keeping Terek’s skills sharp while the two were in hiding. Over time, however, AL-3KS came to learn more and more about the beliefs and teachings of the Jedi from his master, to the point that he now earnestly believes in them. When Terek passed away due to old age, AL-3KS became determined to try and act as a Jedi himself, to carry on his master’s teachings and help those in need. Now reunited with the rebuilt Jedi Order, AL-3KS acts as a member of the Service Corps, helping the Jedi accomplish their mission across the galaxy and also serving as a teacher to younglings and Padawans on Dantooine, helping pass on that which his master taught him.
