Backstory
Aawala was born shortly after the end of the Clone Wars on the elevated city of Dewbright, on the city of Auratera. A world hidden from the Empire by the efforts of Master Nareen Cale, Auratera was a destroyed, wounded world. Like any Ithorian, however, Aawala longed to heal the damages of her home, and started, even from a young age, aiding the groups that would travel to restore nature to balance. However, such an idyllic life is easily disrupted, even by the most minor of things. In this case, a song.
Aawala first began to hear the song just before she turned 19, barely an adult by Ithorian standards. As the Galactic Civil War began in earnest, the song began with a scream of pain and horror, as if millions of lives cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced. Scared, confused, she sought wisdom from her Elder, an old Ithorian man. He guided her to steel her heart, and to resume working, for the actions of those away from her must not disrupt her sacred task. Bowing her head to his wisdom, she returned to her task, working ever diligently.
The song did not relent, however, and Aawala found herself drawn by it, ever deeper and further into the ruins of Auratera. Eventually, she traveled all the way across the world, to the other side of Auratera itself, where she found a large cenote. Relaxing by the pool, she began to meditate, focusing inwards. For over a week, she camped under the stars, watching them glimmer above her. As one began to shine brighter and brighter, however, her meditations were disrupted by her friends and family, who had become worried. With a star chart, she was able to narrow down the location of the star to be the planet Dantooine, and she set out for the stars, learning of the lands beyond the horizon.
Appearence
Aawala is a 40 year old Ithorian woman, always tending to wear muted colors. Her bags and such almost always have an animal theme to them, from a Squall backpack to a Bantha suitcase to a tent that looks like a Wampa den.
Personality
Aawala believes in the preservation of Life, that it can survive the
toughest winters, so long as there is a spring to come by. She takes a
somewhat longer view of the cycle of nature, seeing no problems with
animals killing for their food, for life will balance, in time.
Encouraging Jedi to learn more about the natural world, she can
sometimes become lost in her lectures about different animals, bringing
up mythology and stories about creatures with a calm yet passionate
tone.
Skillset & Role
Aawala is a survivalist, who uses her talent with animals to keep her out of trouble. Rather than focusing on personal issues, she focuses on the overall health of wildlife, tending to diseases and tainted water, rather than cuts and injuries. However, that is not to say she does not bind wounds. Her animal companion, Mist, helps her survive the wilderness, mostly by keeping her spirits high. With the use of her force powers, she tends to avoid direct conflict, hiding her presence until predators have moved past. She has been working with the Ambria temple lately, working with them towards fixing the dark side energies that plague the animals
