Marrolla Teek grew up on his species homeworld, Li-Toran. first chance he got he left to see the galaxy encountering many walks of life along the way and soon finding himself in bed with the Archaeological Association. on an excursion to Nevarro Marrolla fell into a pit were he accidentally saved a Fire rat and, after being rescued himself, eventually nursed it back to health and earned himself a friend for life after naming her Basalt.
Recently before joining the Jedi order Marrolla was hired by a group of other explorers to delve a recently discovered temple on an outer rim jungle planet, the expedition was going well until they found something, Marrolla still isn't sure what they found but one of the other members of the team, a Chagrian named Febbito Dansk, betrayed them, stealing the object and detonating some explosives around the temple leaving Marrolla and some of the team trapped and injured which is when Marrolla truly found his connection with the force, as he managed to seek out an almost impossible path to safety. It was then that a passing Jedi on their own mission arrived to help those trapped within the rubble. Sensing Marrolla's connection to the force, the two talked about what had happened and Marolla's love of history and exploration. Eventually, the Jedi offered Marrolla a chance to expand those abilities he'd sense and truly see the wonders of the galaxy, joining their ranks as a new initiate for the Jedi Order. - Why does your character want to be a jedi? Marrolla has a desire to learn and explore ancient knowledge and lost places and believes that as a Jedi he will do the most good with his findings and have the best aid while doing so.

there aspects of your character’s background (people, events, places)
that were more formative to your character’s current personal
development? The Archaeological Association helped cement Marrolla's love of finding old forgotten places and knowledge, the people there recognise him and he knows many of them in tern. His fire rat Basalt has been a constant companion since Marrolla's visit to Nevarro.
As a member of the Jedi order he hopes many of them will still be a friend to him and his partnership with the Association can help him in the future. - Describe the kinds of personal relationships you might have had in your past? Marrolla has always been an explorer, in an attempt to go to as many places as possible he's met other explorers, scientists, smugglers, bounty hunters and even the occasional diplomat though he's never left much of an impression, at least he doesn't think so.

Borrowed money from this guy once or twice... maybe a few more times than Marrolla can remember. The relationship has soured and now Gacirax plans to collect, relatively nice guy and has done a lot of work for the Republic but at the end of the day he's still a freelancer whos missing out on a lot of credits.
Febbito Dansk - Changrian archaeologist and theif
An old friend turned enemy, one of the first people Marrolla became friends with in the Archaeological Association and they've gone on many missions together, Marrolla is still looking for him and doesn't understand why or what could have drove him to such betrayal. - What is most Jedi-like about your character? What is least Jedi-like about your character?
Most: Kind, thoughtful and an attempt at being wise
Least: impulsive and short-sighted. - Does your character have a strong idea of the Force? Do they experience it in a certain way or is it a mystery to them? Marrolla is mostly confused by it, it's a mystery to him and one to unravel. He would describe it as a warm hug like being back on his homeworld.

characters have dark (or great) secrets that they keep locked away from
even their dearest friends. Does your character harbor a great regret
or a secret aspiration that is central to their character? No.
- What elements of your character are you most excited to explore, whether narrative or mechanical? Primarily narrative, I want to see him grow and overcome adversity. I like the idea of focused sessions like becoming a Padawan, acquiring his lightsaber, and eventually becoming a knight. I also want to see the galaxy, much like Marrolla, I want to venture into strange places and be tempted by secrets meant to be forgotten and see how that affects the character and how it changes him in each resolution.
- Does your character have a long-term plan, mechanically? Focusing on support tank, mainly though the Guardian specializations and healing via Heal/Harm force power and Consulars Healer specialization.
- The
Dark Side tempts each Jedi differently. How does it prey upon your
character's emotional weakness and what makes them susceptible to it? Marrolla likes to explore, likes to learn and may be easily tempted into learning things he shouldn't or becoming obsessed with knowledge or locations that could lead him down a dark path.
- Would you rather start your character as an Initiate or as a Padawan? Initiate.
