Vixara (PC)

Padawan
  1. Please provide a brief (at least one short paragraph) backstory for your character.
Vixara a 22 year old Dathomirian called the desolate planet Dathomir her home but truly didn't feel it was. She never seemed to fit in much and her coven's ways felt wrong.  As it was the result of the Clone Wars left her people scattered, the Nightsister's coven's all but destroyed. Sending the scattered Nightsisters and their male Zabraks into hiding finding places to lay low in exile. The small group surviving till ten years ago when Luke and Tra'seya came accross them. At the time Vixara was 12 her only friend a male Zabrak named Husrin Omak (insert Anthony's Character). Resenting the way she saw them treated she promised she would go through with training to become  a nightsister to escape with him. Dreading the darkside that came with the training she was grateful her small coven was found. It meant she wouldn't have to complete the training she and Husrin could leave.

When the Jedi engaged her coven Vixara ran to find Husrin so the two of them could hide. They hunkered down and waited for the fighting to end, once the sounds of combat ceased they poked their heads. Around were the slain members of their small clan, seeing the Jedi the two kids showed their hands were empty. Vixara hopped they would take them from this dark place, even possibly teach them about the force. She wanted to understand the connection she felt and not through that of the darkside. Luckily Luke and Tra'seya took them in. As it was they had just recently founded a temple in the hopes of training those in the force. Both Vixara and Husrin have spent the past 10 years training with the Jedi. They started as intiates as their upbringing in the Coven required more supervision. Vixara needing to learn ways other then Nightsisters teachings as she meditated on steering herself away from the darkside grateful she was brought to the temple before being tempted to the dark. After a few years the two became padawans in the temple continuing their training.

  2. Why does your character want to be a jedi? Vixara wants to be a jedi in hopes to balance the scales for what her people did, someone who can make a differnece and right wrongs. To understand the true meaning of the force and how to harmonize with it versus her covins desire to use it as a tool for gain. To understands the things she sees through the force.

  3. Are there aspects of your character’s background (people, events, places) that were more formative to your character’s current personal development?

    - Husrin Omak was her only friend in their small covin. A male zabrak in which she had to keep their friendship and later growing relationship. She wants to become someone who protects those that can't protect themselves.

    - Her mother Zythia Nightwhisper was her ever constant observer, trainer, dicipliner, and not at all the typical mother figure. She grew to resent her and swore to never become her.

  4. Describe the kinds of personal relationships you might have had in your past?

    - Husrin Omak was her only friend in their small covin. A male zabrak in which she had to keep their friendship and later growing relationship. All while being beside her friend who's bonds have grown over the years forming in a relationship between the two hand in hand. Their love and care for one another seeing many hardships as well as fullfilling moments.

    - Her mother Zythia Nightwhisper was her ever constant observer, trainer, dicipliner, and not at all the typical mother figure. She grew to resnt her and swore to never become her.

    - Master Tra'seya being another former Nighster and one who understands what Vixara has experienced and the struggle to grow.

  5. What is most Jedi-like about your character?  What is least Jedi-like about your character?

    - Her desire to work peacfully with others, to understand the meaning of the force with an open mind. To protect the oppressed and seek justice for them.

    - She is against slavery and the opression of those weakers, it is her anger trigger where she could act out against it.

  6. Does your character have a strong idea of the Force? Do they experience it in a certain way or is it a mystery to them? Before becoming an initiate with the order she only understood the teachings of the Nightsisters. Their eyes viewing it as a magical tool to us for the survivabiliy of the coven and gains of power. Since leaving and being around the Jedi she has opened her eyes to the expanse of it and seeks to understand it as the Jedi do. She sees things through the force and wishes to understand the meaning what do visions mean and how to interpret them. How she has a heightened awareness to the things around her. (Foresee and Prophecy once she gets it)

  7. Some characters have dark (or great) secrets that they keep locked away from even their dearest friends. Does your character harbor a great regret or a secret aspiration that is central to their character? She resents her connection to the Nightsisters and their use of the darkside.

  8. What elements of your character are you most excited to explore, whether narrative or mechanical? I'm exited to explore chacter growth and her being a seer witch who can see visions and things through the force to help those around her.

  9. Does your character have a long-term plan, mechanically? Plan would be Seer to Prophecy as the signature talent for flavor and mechanics of visons from the force to help others. Having Nightsister for more flavor and ichor blade as she may duel wield that and a lightsaber to have her past and future to balance her. Go down Farsight, Foresee, Sense, Seek and Misdirect  as I like her being able to sense things around her, see things, and be a bit of a trickster mentalist.

  10. The Dark Side tempts each Jedi differently. How does it prey upon your character's emotional weakness and what makes them susceptible to it? She is vunerable to anger especially toward those that oppress others or harm them. Her past of seeing the male zabraks not treated as people has given her a stive to protect others and fight against it.

  11. Would you rather start your character as an Initiate or as a Padawan? Padawan.
